Design thinking is a non-linear, iterative process used by teams to understand users, challenge assumptions, redefine problems, and create innovative prototypes and tests. It is most useful for tackling problems that are ill-defined or unknown, as it involves five phases: empathise, define, ideate, prototype, and test.

It is critical for us as interior designers to communicate with our clients about their wants and needs. From spatial diagrams to image sources, communication with our client is critical. We may not always understand their interests; as a result, we can draw sketches and show materials to meet their needs.

As designers, we must  constantly consider how to make our designs interesting and innovative. In a micro-apartment, for example, we can design transformable furniture to save space. This is because, as the population grows, there will be less space for each user, necessitating the need to adapt.
